Introduction
Department of Community Health Sciences is one amongst departments in Al-Ameen College of Health Sciences and Technology, Kaduna, which runs both Certificate and Diploma programme
STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAMME
- Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW): is a Diploma Programme runs for three (3) years.
- Junior Community Health Extension Worker (JCHEW): is a Certificate Programme runs for two (2) years.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must possess the following requirements.
- CHEW: Five (5) Credits in Biology, Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and Chemistry at not more than two sittings (WAEC, GCE, and NECO only).
- JCHEW: Credits in Biology, Mathematics, English Language, and pass in Physics, Chemistry at not more than two sittings (WAEC, GCE, and NECO only)
CONDICTIONS FOR THE AWARD OF CERTIFICATE/DIPLOMA
Award of Certificate/Diploma shall be to candidate who successfully completed the programme after passing prescribed final examinations organized by the National Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria and supervised practical work experience.
